Blog Your Brains Out: biggest non-playing footy personality

On the weekend Brendan Fevola taunted Joffa (from the Collingwood cheer squad) thereby making him ‘part of the game.’ Who are the other personilities who have crossed the line from periphery to active protagonist in the ‘performance of the game?’

Jeff says: Joffa has crossed the line and become part of the game.

Paul says: I’m on the fat bloke from the Western Bulldogs

Great show again guys, a great start to my Tuesday morning.

Clearly the most influential off field personality is Eddie McGuire, any man who can convince a team to wear there away strip for home games is doin well. But what about ½ Cat he’s got a bit of a cult following.

The World Cup was in Aus in 1992, and you were close Paul no game at Wagga, but im pretty sure there was a Pakistan V New Zealand game at Albury.

You guys must be the biggest bloody yuppies. Going to the footy is all about eating a slightly warm $10 pie, sitting on a hard chair and freezing ya nuts off.

Hey and if you guys do this Blog Off don’t put up Jeffs crappy old Ipod full of Mariah Carey and Scissor Sisters for the prize. Give us a shot at the new one. You guys should win I love the Footwrap Speckies vid. Its had nearly as many hits on there as it has on Youtube, might be a good plug for the Wrap!

  2. The AFL Show Says:

Thanks Scott. I agree with Eddie. I never used to even know who the Presidents of footy clubs were until he came along. And 1/2 cat- YES! He made me want to get into mascotting. My work as Tiggy the Tiger will never match his fine performances. Oh and I may watch Desperate Housewives but Mariah Carey… come on, that’s too much :)

  3. Scott Says:

The question is Jeff will we ever see the return of Tiggy the Tiger, possible even a cameo appearance on the Wrap. Or do you reserve the use of the Tiggy suit for the bedroom only these days.

  4. The AFL Show Says:

hahaha! Oh my god, that would be too freaky. I reckon Paul would do something like that though. I believe the old tiger suit is now in the Richmond museum. A well planned heist would be required for him to ride again.

  5. Scott Says:

Well grab a torch and load the mission impossible theme music into your ipod. lets go!

  6. NJ Blue Bagger Says:

Tony Lockett’s pig mascot “Pluga” has got to rank highly.

  7. The AFL Show Says:

Definately. I loved that pig. He would be a big one now!
