The first week of the Finals came a fortnight early. Port managed to grab second spot from the Weagles, albeit by a tiny .4 percent. The Hawks grasped on to fourth place by flogging the Dogs and Adelaide kept their September hopes alive be winning an ‘elimination final’ against the Lions.
It all happened in a week where we said “Farewell” to Hird and Sheedy, “Welcome back” to Nathan Buckley and “Sucked in!” to the not so unbeatable Cats.
